We went to Gebze Informatics Valley today as the Department of Healthcare Management. We learned about Turkey's technological and manufacturing advancements. We want to express our gratitude to Istanbul Deputy Osman Boyraz, Informatics Valley Corporate Communication Director Leyla Gök, and Senior Specialist Muhammet Yayman for their interest and assistance in organizing the trip.

We held our Tobacco Addiction event to raise awareness about addiction and demonstrate ways to overcome it. We want to thank our guest, Green Crescent Beykoz Branch President Dr. Mahmut Talha Uçar, also the participants.

Our Faculty member Asst. Prof. Dr. Özlem Özaydın's article, "Job Satisfaction of Health Workers in the Period of COVID-19 Outbreak" was published in the Gümüşhane University Journal of Health Sciences.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Gülhan Kalmuk, Head of the Department of Healthcare Management, provided 40-hour “Research Design and SPSS Workshop Training” to the Provincial Health Directorate's members. We appreciate the participants, and our faculty member Dr. Gülhan Kalmuk, for their attendance in this enjoyable and productive training.

Health Management Department Faculty Member Özlem Özaydın's article titled "Investigation of the reasons that affect nurses mentally negatively during the Covid-19 pandemic" was published by TR Index-Ulakbim and the internationally indexed Medicine Science International Medical Journal.

Prof. Dr. Hacer Özgen Narcı, Ph.D. Program Coordinator in Healthcare Management, published an article, "Healthcare resource utilization and direct costs of transfusion-dependent thalassemia patients in Dubai, United Arab Emirates: a retrospective cost-of-ıllness study", in the journal of BMC Health Services Research, which was scanned by SCI-Expanded.

Prof. Osman Can Ünver answered the questions of the AA Analysis Desk on the socio-cultural and political effects of the racist terrorist attack in Hanau in its second year.

Before starting the 2021-2022 Spring semester, our students and academics came together online. At the meeting, topics such as how our students spent the fall semester, our students' expectations from us in the spring semester and our expectations from our students were discussed. Opinions and suggestions of our senior students about professional practices were received. In addition, information was given about the professional practice 2 course that will be held this semester. It was a pleasant and productive meeting where event planning was done with our students. To our students who participated in the meeting, our department head Dr. Lecturer Gülhan Kalmuk and Res. See. We would like to thank Döne Tütüncü.

Prof. Efe Can Gürcan received the "Scientist of the Year" award in the Social Sciences International Relations Category within the scope of the Young Scientist Awards Program

As the Health Management Club, with the participation of our students and academicians, we distributed food to people who had to live on the street with the hosting of the "You Have Salt in Soup Association".We would like to thank the members of the Health Management Club who took part in the organization voluntarily and the "You Have Salt in the Soup Association" for accepting us.

Prof. Mine Afacan Fındıklı's new article was published in Istanbul Management Journal.

As Istinye University Department of Health Management, we have taken the first step towards the tradition of meeting with our graduates. We heard from our graduate students about the pros and cons of the health management department, what it adds to them, their expectations in business life and their career goals. In addition, they gave useful advice to their friends studying in the health management department about what to do. It was a productive event with a high level of mutual communication and interaction. We would like to thank Assistant Quality Management Specialist Betül Dağhan Diril, Assistant Quality and Risk Management Specialist Simanur Fidan, Corporate Invoicing Assistant Specialist Zeynep Sevde Tuncer and Liogistics Specialist Batuhan Tuncel, who attended the event by not breaking our invitation.

The article of Döne Tütüncü, Research Assistant at the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, Health Management Department of our university, titled "The Effect of the Covid-19 Pandemic on the Perception of Conscientious Intelligence in Health Care Professionals" was published in the Gumushane University Health Sciences Journal.

Head of Health Management Dr. Instructor member Gülhan Kalmuk, Prof. Dilaver Tengilimoğlu and Prof. Dr. In the book "Comparative Health Systems" edited by Zekai Öztürk, three sections were published: "Moldova Health System, Ukraine Health Systems and Georgia Health Systems". This book, which examines the health systems of countries in detail, is a bedside book for the health management department. We congratulate our teacher and wish him continued success.

We celebrated "December 18 Health Managers Day" with the participation of our students and academicians from the Department of Health Management.

Prof. Mine Afacan Fındıklı was at the 16th International Professor Vladas Gronsk Scientific Conference which was organized by the Institute of Social Sciences and Applied Informatics, Faculty of Kaunas, Vilnius University.

In the session "Social Inclusion and Participatory Governance Policies" Prof. Yusuf Erbay was the moderator and Prof. Peyami Çelikcan was the speaker.

Dr. Arzu Aydın was at Istinye University Vadi Campus Conference Hall as part of the Business Administration Seminars.

Within the "Minik Kalpler Genç Gönüllüler" project, in which social responsibility awareness is prioritized; under the leadership of International Relations Department Research Assistant Ceren Ece Göcen, from the Siyasi Araştırmalar Club Fatih Keleş, Gamze Karagöz, Okan Karataş and Kürşad Kaya, and from the Gökkuşağı Çocuk Gelişimi Club Şevval Ergün and Doğa Gökdemir visited to Mardin for 3-day.

At the 8th Organizational Behavior Congress, Prof. Mine AFACAN FINDIKLI presented her paper titled İş Yükü Algısı ve Yaratıcı İş Davranışı İlişkisinde Proaktif Davranışın Rolü.

Istinye University, Political Science and Public Administration Department member Prof. Yusuf Erbay made his presentation which titled "Understanding a Phenomenon: Urban Transformation for Whom?" in the Housing in Urban Resilience session.

'Covid-19 and the Future of Capitalism' is used as a coursebook which is written by Assoc. Prof. Efe Can Gürcan, Dr. Selen Yanmaz and Dr. Ömer Ersin Kahraman.

Songül Şenel graduate Department of Health Management Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences of Istinye University and İrem Erkılıç graduate student participated in the 4th International and 14th National Health and Hospital Administration Congress organized by the University of Health Sciences.


Songül Şenel one of our master's graduates, presented the study titled "The Intermediate Variable Role of Fear of Being Caught in Covid-19 in the Effect of the Distance Working Model, which has become widespread in the Covid-19 Epidemic Process, on Performance", which she conducted with Dr. Gülhan Kalmuk.
Our undergraduate graduate İrem Erkılıç, presented her study titled "The Reasons for Following Dietitian Accounts on Instagram, a Social Media Application of Health Workers Between 20-40 Years: A Qualitative Study” which conducted with Dr. Gülhan Kalmuk.
