OHSAD Institute Nursing Management Committee, which was established with the support of the Private Hospitals Association (OHSAD) with the aim of developing the nursing profession, organized an event for the 12-18 May Nursing Week, where I was the moderator of the OHSAD Institute Nursing Management Committee. OHSAD Board Chairman Dr. Reşat Bahat and Institute Advisory Board Chairman Dr. Ömer Güzel supported the meeting with their speeches. It has been a highly attended and productive meeting, which is the most important problem of today, where critical issues related to COVİT-19 vaccine applications and patient care are shared with industry experiences and concluded with the exercises of Hülya Özgür Yorga, who is an expert in Breathing Therapy as a social event. First of all, I would like to thank OHSAD Management for their support to the Nursing profession, which has a very important place in health services, for the support they give to the OHSAD Institute Nursing Committee for the development of the nursing profession, and to my nurse friends who struggle to do their profession in the best way by putting forward their lives in a very valuable field. As Istinye University, we started the “Digital Billing BAP Project” that we developed in order to contribute to digital transformation studies that we believe will revolutionize the health sector. We held our online meeting with the Mlpcare Digital Transformation Team, which will support the development of digital transformation applications, and the managers of VM Medical Park Pendik Hospital, where we plan to carry out the field studies as a pilot. It was a pleasant and productive meeting where all the details of the project were discussed and opinions and suggestions were shared.
Our head of department, Gülhan Kalmuk, came together with İstinye University Mlpcare employees, academicians and students of the health management department for health communication training on "Health Communication Talks". The subject of health communication, which is important for health institutions, was handled in a very pleasant and interactive way with the sector experience of our teacher Gülhan Kalmuk and beautiful examples. The "Digital HR" project has been among the entrepreneurs selected for the second stage in the TÜBİTAK BIGG entrepreneurship program. The project has been developed by department's research assistant Yasin Kırelli and our commissioned lecturer M. Taha Zeren with the consultancy of our department head Dr. Şebnem Özdemir. Our Head of Department Dr. Şebnem Özdemir conduct a seminar titled "Bias in Artificial Intelligence and Explability" to students and faculty members of the Department of Interdisciplinary Artificial Intelligence at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University. The event on April 30, 2021 was held with wide participation. Two critical concepts that have the power to put artificial intelligence back to winter were explained practically in the activity.
Our senior students has started their proffessional lives in companies, where they will work for 14 weeks within the scope of the Professional Practice course. Thanks to the 7 + 1 Teaching Model, they had the chance to transform the academic knowledge they gained into practice. We are proud of our students.
As in the sector, quality is of great importance in health institutions. In order to increase the awareness of our students on this issue and to share their experiences, a "Quality Management in Hospitals" training was organized in which Altınbaş University Medical Park Bahçelievler Hospital Quality Manager Sinan Öncül participated as an instructor. With the contributions and questions of our students and academics, the training was carried out in a pleasant and efficient manner.
