Economics Department member Asst. Prof. İlayda İSABETLİ FİDAN's article titled "Was There a Left Turn in Latin America? Building a Social Democracy Index" was published in Latin American Perspectives journal, one of the Q2 journals of the SJR (SCImago) index.

Prof. Dr. Assist. Prof. Dr. Elif Çiçekli's application for the establishment of her company, which will serve in the field of corporate social responsibility, was accepted by the Informatics Valley. Elif Çiçekli established her company named CSR Medya ve Danışmanlık A.Ş. on January 12, 2023 within the Istinye Garage Incubation Hub in Informatics Valley.

Prof. Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Elif Çiçekli's entrepreneurship project application titled "Measurement, Consultancy and Promotion Using Artificial Intelligence on Corporate Social Responsibility Performance" was accepted by the Informatics Valley Technopark Management on March 1, 2023. Elif Çiçekli started her project activities within Istinye Garage Incubation Hub.

As Networking Club, we have come to you with a great event for E-Commerce, whose popularity is increasing day by day, especially during the pandemic period, which we have seen the magnitude of its impact and its value has increased exponentially over the years, and today it has become one of the indivisible parts of trade with online shopping.

Our Economy Department visited Macellan Company, one of its external stakeholders. During the visit, upon the invitation of Macellan CEO Göktürk Yetim, a meeting was held on the projects that our department and Magellan will jointly develop.

We held our external stakeholder meeting with the participation of Şadi Kopuz, Provable Cosmetics Chemistry CEO Adnan Akat, Subaru marketing director Selin Şahiz, Magellan CEO Göktürk Yetim, our department professors and our graduate student Şevval Sekmen. At the meeting, what was done this year and projects that could be done together next year were planned.

The event titled "How Do We Enter 2024? Current Status of Budget and Foreign Trade", organized by the Department of Economics, was attended by Boğaziçi University Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Gürsoy and our department lecturer Dr. İlayda İsabetli Fidan contributed to the chapters on "Economic Policies and Public Economic Enterprises in Atatürk's Era" and our department lecturer Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayfer Ustabaş contributed to the chapters on "An Overview of the Economic Importance of Women's Labor Force Participation in Turkey". Our department professors received certificates of appreciation from our Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim İbiş for the book published by Istinye University Publications.

At the event organized by the Department of Economics and Epam, Agricultural Economy in Turkey and the World was discussed. Boğaziçi University Department of Economics faculty member Gökhan Özertan attended the event as a speaker.

Our Head of Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şebnem Özdemir and Istinye University Industry Cooperation Coordinator faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Okan Yaşar visited StartGate, the largest Digital Game and Game Technologies Entrepreneurship Center in Europe and the Middle East, located in Maslak, Istanbul upon the invitation of Dr. Arzu Aydın, Executive Committee Member of StarGate and AcademyGate CEO.

During the visit, special opportunities for our students and university-industry cooperation opportunities were also discussed with Dr. Arzu Aydın, the CEO of AcademyGate.

StartGate provides an ecosystem where entrepreneurs and game developers come together to learn from each other and grow together. The center provides knowledge transfer on a global scale, from company establishment to becoming a professional game studio. It also provides corporate services such as marketing support, investment and incentive consultancy, human resources and legal support to game developers.

Associate Professor Dr. Okan Yaşar, a faculty member in the Management Information Systems department at İstinye University, has been appointed as the Coordinator for Collaboration with the Industry at İstinye University. We congratulate our faculty member and wish them success.

Our Head of Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şebnem Özdemir and project advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Okan Yaşar, who were appointed as the lead consultant within the scope of the project "Today's Youth, Future Professions" jointly carried out by UNDP, İNGEV (Human Development Foundation) and Union of Municipalities of Turkey, attended the workshop held in Konya. Our faculty members shared their experiences at the workshop and shared their views on the training programs that can be done and implemented to develop digital skills.

Our Department Head Assoc. Dr. Çiğdem Gürsoy presented her work titled "Mudarebe Examples from Ottoman Economy Financial Instruments (16th, 17th and 18th Centuries)" at the Turkish Economic Congress.

Students from the Management Information Systems program have submitted 79 unique Tubitak 2209-A projects with 139 students.

Our head of department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şebnem Özdemir, participated as a speaker at the event "Aselsan Career 101: Artificial Intelligence 101" organized by ASELSAN.

Our department chair, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şebnem Özdemir, participated in Birol Güven's program 'Gelecek Geliyor' as a speaker to discuss generative artificial intelligence.

"HYBRID ENERGY PRODUCTION AND OPTIMIZATION SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT PROJECT FOR ENERGY EFFICIENT BUILDINGS" of Ph.D. Hasan Ufuk Gökçe, one of our department professors, was entitled to be supported by Tubitak Teydeb.

The first Global Strategy Conference, where important agendas will be evaluated with an academic vision every year, was hosted by Istinye University on 24-26 March 2023 in cooperation with the Centre for Diplomatic Relations and Political Studies (DIPAM) and the Hungarian National University of Public Service.
