One of the academicians of Istinye University, Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, Department of Health Management, Dr. Gülhan Kalmuk, Dr. Yasemin Aslan and Asst. Döne Tütüncü participated in the 4th International and 14th National Health and Hospital Administration Congress organized by Health Sciences University.

Head of Health Management Department Dr. Gülhan Kalmuk’s The title of "Corporate Governance, Social Responsibility and Social Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age" published by Artikel Akademi publishing house, a publishing house of with international publishing criteria, and its editor, Assoc. The change in our consumption habits along with the extreme urbanization, industrialization and population growth that have occurred in the world in the last century is pushing the limits of our planet. Although environmental pollution and global warming, which are the result of this rapid change and insensitivity to nature, are at the top of the world's problems, efforts in this direction are often insufficient. It is our individual responsibility to leave a safer living space and a more livable world for our future, future generations and children… We held our "Zero Waste" event in order to increase our awareness of environmental problems. The symposium on "Child Poverty Transferred to Generations as a Social Determinant of Health: Past, Pandemic Present and Future" organized by our university, under the chairmanship of Health Management Department Professor of Dr. Hacer ÖZGEN NARCI was held on 9-10 June 2021.

In the productive two-day symposium; The global and national dimension of child poverty, what affects the emergence of this problem, the problems it causes, and the roles and works of public units, non-governmental organizations and academic units in the fight against this problem were discussed.

The "Social Responsibility Project Competition" event organized by the International Sustainability Application and Research Center and the Public Relations and Advertising Department within the scope of Corporate Social Responsibility course took place as a online.

The book chapter titled "Internet of Things" by Nilüfer Kapukaya, the research assistant of our department, was published in the book "Rethinking Business Administration".

Business and Economy Club continued career conversations with Azra Betül Erdoğdu. With the Original Career Design, she shared how our students can draw a path that will be good for themselves and others by blending every competence they have accumulated so far and their dreams for the future.

Business and Economics Club, founded by students of management departments of our faculty, hosted its first guest. Life and Career Coach Gizem Şahan's talk covered basic topics such as leaving a clean digital trace, chasing dreams, competencies and personal development.

Dr. Pınar Gökçin Özuyar has been invited to be one of the 50 global members of Innovative Solutions Laboratory which includes Covid-19 improvements and innovative solutions in order to reduce inequalities initiated by “Strenthening of SDSN” programme of Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

As Istinye University, we started the “Digital Billing BAP Project” that we developed in order to contribute to digital transformation studies that we believe will revolutionize the health sector. We held our online meeting with the Mlpcare Digital Transformation Team, which will support the development of digital transformation applications, and the managers of VM Medical Park Pendik Hospital, where we plan to carry out the field studies as a pilot. It was a pleasant and productive meeting where all the details of the project were discussed and opinions and suggestions were shared.

Our University Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences Health Management Department Research Assistant Döne Tütüncü, Health Sciences University Dr. Instructor His article titled "The use of Internet of Things (NIT) in the management of epidemics: an example of COVID-19", co-written with Prof. Muhammed Fevzi Esen, was published in the Journal of Health Academics.

Member of International Relations Department Res. Asst. Ceren Ece Göcen's new article has been published.

Our Head of Department Gülhan Kalmuk presented her paper titled “The Effect Of Core Self Evaluations On Job Performance: The Medıatıng Role Of Career Success” at the 6th International Health Sciences and Management Congress organized by Süleyman Demirel University on May 20-22.

OHSAD Institute Nursing Management Committee, which was established with the support of the Private Hospitals Association (OHSAD) with the aim of developing the nursing profession, organized an event for the 12-18 May Nursing Week, where I was the moderator of the OHSAD Institute Nursing Management Committee. OHSAD Board Chairman Dr. Reşat Bahat and Institute Advisory Board Chairman Dr. Ömer Güzel supported the meeting with their speeches. It has been a highly attended and productive meeting, which is the most important problem of today, where critical issues related to COVİT-19 vaccine applications and patient care are shared with industry experiences and concluded with the exercises of Hülya Özgür Yorga, who is an expert in Breathing Therapy as a social event. First of all, I would like to thank OHSAD Management for their support to the Nursing profession, which has a very important place in health services, for the support they give to the OHSAD Institute Nursing Committee for the development of the nursing profession, and to my nurse friends who struggle to do their profession in the best way by putting forward their lives in a very valuable field. Our head of department, Gülhan Kalmuk, came together with İstinye University Mlpcare employees, academicians and students of the health management department for health communication training on "Health Communication Talks". The subject of health communication, which is important for health institutions, was handled in a very pleasant and interactive way with the sector experience of our teacher Gülhan Kalmuk and beautiful examples. We would like to thank our teacher Gülhan Kalmuk for giving us this training and our participants who participated in the program.

Prof. Dr. Hacer Özgen Narcı was the guest of the "Health Economics" course on May 11, 2021, conducted under the responsibility of our teacher, Hacettepe University Faculty of Economics and Vice Director of Vaccine Institute Prof. Dr. It was Zafer Çalışkan. Our teacher shared with us his knowledge and experience about economic evaluation in health services, especially pharmaceuticals and medical devices-materials in Turkey. The "Digital HR" project has been among the entrepreneurs selected for the second stage in the TÜBİTAK BIGG entrepreneurship program. The project has been developed by department's research assistant Yasin Kırelli and our commissioned lecturer M. Taha Zeren with the consultancy of our department head Dr. Şebnem Özdemir. We wish them success and share our wishes for the successful progress of the application as a start-up project.
