The online event titled “The Role of the Individual Pension System in the National Savings Mechanism,” organized in collaboration between the Economic Policy Research Center (EPAM) and the Department of Economics, was held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 5:30 PM via Microsoft Teams.
Moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayfer USTABAŞ, Director of EPAM and faculty member of the Department of Economics, the event featured Mustafa AKMAZ, General Manager and Board Member of the Pension Monitoring Center, and Mehmet GERZ, General Manager of Ata Portfolio, as guest speakers.
During the event, the role of the Individual Pension System (IPS) in increasing Turkey’s savings rates, its significance for economic sustainability, and its structural advantages were discussed from both academic and sectoral perspectives.
