In order to plan the future of Büyükçekmece, the 2050 Büyükçekmece Vision Workshop, which was held by receiving suggestions and demands from all segments of the society, held on November 26-27, 2021. Topics such as global climate change, environmental policies, public space and coastal policies, urban transformation, transportation and infrastructure policies, social inclusion and participatory management, and Büyükçekmece from the eyes of the youth were discussed.
On the second day of the workshop, IV. session titled "Social Inclusion and Participatory Governance Policies" was moderated by Prof. Yusuf Erbay from the Political Science and Public Administration Department. In that session, Istinye University Faculty of Communication Dean Prof. Peyami Çelikcan made his presentation titled "For a Sustainable Social Life: Social Inclusion".
