The "Guest Services Management Certificate" program was carried out with the assistance of Asst. Prof. Dr. Gülhan Kalmuk to improve the quality and efficiency of health services. Our successful participants received their certificates after 76 hours of theoretical and practical instruction. We appreciate the collaborations of Liv Hospital Director Meri İstiroti and her team, as well as our Continuing Education Center Director Şule Kılıçaslan.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Özlem Özaydın participated in the "7th International Health Sciences and Management Congress" hosted by Üsküdar University on 16-19 June 2022. Özaydın presented his paper titled "Individuals Knowledge and Preference of Remote Health Service Delivery in Turkey."

Asst. Prof. Dr. Özlem Özaydın participated in the "9th International Gevher Nesibe Health Sciences Congress" held on June 10–12, 2022. Özaydın presented his paper titled "The Effect of Organizational Socialization on Organizational Citizenship in Beginner Healthcare Workers."

Asst. Prof. Dr. Özlem Özaydın participated in the "2nd National-1st International Management in Nursing Congress" arranged online from 8-10 June 2022. Özaydın presented his paper titled "Reflections of the COVID-19 Pandemic in Graduate Thesis in the Field of Nursing in Turkey".

The "Hospital Management Certificate Program" began on May 28 under the supervision of our department head, Asst. Prof. Gülhan Kalmuk, and with the assistance of the Istinye University Continuing Education Center. This program aims to develop strategic management skills for managers in the health sector, which is one of the significant areas of investment in our country. We want to thank the managers of Medical Park and Liv Hospital and the esteemed academicians of Istinye University for their contributions to the program.

Our 4th grade students, who did internship at MLP Care and Public Health Institutions for 1 year within the scope of Professional Practice, stepped into the management of health institutions with successful case presentations. We would like to thank all managers who contributed in this process, especially MLP Care managers. We congratulate all our students and wish them good luck.

The elderly population is increasing rapidly. Therefore, the risk of Alzheimer's Disease is also rising. We arranged an event called "Does All Forgetfulness Mean Alzheimer's?" to raise public awareness about Alzheimer's Disease. We want to express our gratitude to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Tüfekçioğlu, as well as our dear participants.

Every Sunday during Ramadan, students and academicians from the Department of Healthcare Management volunteer to help the Kartal Kızılay Branch's food parcel distribution. We want to express our gratitude to the Kartal Kızılay Branch, academicians, and students for providing us with the opportunity to do good, assist, and most significantly, touch the volunteers on such a memorable day.

We went to Gebze Informatics Valley today as the Department of Healthcare Management. We learned about Turkey's technological and manufacturing advancements. We want to express our gratitude to Istanbul Deputy Osman Boyraz, Informatics Valley Corporate Communication Director Leyla Gök, and Senior Specialist Muhammet Yayman for their interest and assistance in organizing the trip.

We held our Tobacco Addiction event to raise awareness about addiction and demonstrate ways to overcome it. We want to thank our guest, Green Crescent Beykoz Branch President Dr. Mahmut Talha Uçar, also the participants.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Gülhan Kalmuk, Head of the Department of Healthcare Management, provided 40-hour “Research Design and SPSS Workshop Training” to the Provincial Health Directorate's members. Health Management Department Faculty Member Özlem Özaydın's article titled "Investigation of the reasons that affect nurses mentally negatively during the Covid-19 pandemic" was published by TR Index-Ulakbim and the internationally indexed Medicine Science International Medical Journal.

Prof. Dr. Hacer Özgen Narcı, Ph.D. Program Coordinator in Healthcare Management, published an article, "Healthcare resource utilization and direct costs of transfusion-dependent thalassemia patients in Dubai, United Arab Emirates: a retrospective cost-of-ıllness study", in the journal of BMC Health Services Research, which was scanned by SCI-Expanded.

Before starting the 2021-2022 Spring semester, our students and academics came together online. At the meeting, topics such as how our students spent the fall semester, our students' expectations from us in the spring semester and our expectations from our students were discussed. Opinions and suggestions of our senior students about professional practices were received. In addition, information was given about the professional practice 2 course that will be held this semester. It was a pleasant and productive meeting where event planning was done with our students. To our students who participated in the meeting, our department head Dr. Lecturer Gülhan Kalmuk and Res. See. We would like to thank Döne Tütüncü.

As the Health Management Club, with the participation of our students and academicians, we distributed food to people who had to live on the street with the hosting of the "You Have Salt in Soup Association".We would like to thank the members of the Health Management Club who took part in the organization voluntarily and the "You Have Salt in the Soup Association" for accepting us.

As Istinye University Department of Health Management, we have taken the first step towards the tradition of meeting with our graduates. We heard from our graduate students about the pros and cons of the health management department, what it adds to them, their expectations in business life and their career goals. In addition, they gave useful advice to their friends studying in the health management department about what to do. It was a productive event with a high level of mutual communication and interaction. Head of Health Management Dr. Instructor member Gülhan Kalmuk, Prof. Dilaver Tengilimoğlu and Prof. Dr. In the book "Comparative Health Systems" edited by Zekai Öztürk, three sections were published: "Moldova Health System, Ukraine Health Systems and Georgia Health Systems". Songül Şenel one of our master's graduates, presented the study titled "The Intermediate Variable Role of Fear of Being Caught in Covid-19 in the Effect of the Distance Working Model, which has become widespread in the Covid-19 Epidemic Process, on Performance", which she conducted with Dr. Gülhan Kalmuk.
Our undergraduate graduate İrem Erkılıç, presented her study titled "The Reasons for Following Dietitian Accounts on Instagram, a Social Media Application of Health Workers Between 20-40 Years: A Qualitative Study” which conducted with Dr. Gülhan Kalmuk.

The change in our consumption habits along with the extreme urbanization, industrialization and population growth that have occurred in the world in the last century is pushing the limits of our planet. Although environmental pollution and global warming, which are the result of this rapid change and insensitivity to nature, are at the top of the world's problems, efforts in this direction are often insufficient. It is our individual responsibility to leave a safer living space and a more livable world for our future, future generations and children… We held our "Zero Waste" event in order to increase our awareness of environmental problems. The symposium on "Child Poverty Transferred to Generations as a Social Determinant of Health: Past, Pandemic Present and Future" organized by our university, under the chairmanship of Health Management Department Professor of Dr. Hacer ÖZGEN NARCI was held on 9-10 June 2021.

In the productive two-day symposium; The global and national dimension of child poverty, what affects the emergence of this problem, the problems it causes, and the roles and works of public units, non-governmental organizations and academic units in the fight against this problem were discussed.

Our Head of Department Gülhan Kalmuk presented her paper titled “The Effect Of Core Self Evaluations On Job Performance: The Medıatıng Role Of Career Success” at the 6th International Health Sciences and Management Congress organized by Süleyman Demirel University on May 20-22.

OHSAD Institute Nursing Management Committee, which was established with the support of the Private Hospitals Association (OHSAD) with the aim of developing the nursing profession, organized an event for the 12-18 May Nursing Week, where I was the moderator of the OHSAD Institute Nursing Management Committee. OHSAD Board Chairman Dr. Reşat Bahat and Institute Advisory Board Chairman Dr. Ömer Güzel supported the meeting with their speeches. It has been a highly attended and productive meeting, which is the most important problem of today, where critical issues related to COVİT-19 vaccine applications and patient care are shared with industry experiences and concluded with the exercises of Hülya Özgür Yorga, who is an expert in Breathing Therapy as a social event. First of all, I would like to thank OHSAD Management for their support to the Nursing profession, which has a very important place in health services, for the support they give to the OHSAD Institute Nursing Committee for the development of the nursing profession, and to my nurse friends who struggle to do their profession in the best way by putting forward their lives in a very valuable field.
