Our Head of Department, Prof., one of the academicians of the Department of Health Management. Dr. Hacer ÖZGEN NARCI and Dr. Lecturer Member Özlem ÖZAYDIN attended the "Health Economics and Finance Symposium" organized by Acıbadem University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
The event was held to increase the awareness of both our students and academics about organ donation. We would like to thank Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital Organ and Tissue Transplantation Coordinators Gözde İnal and Gülşah Averi, who shared their valuable information with us with the slogan "Let there be no soil, let there be life".
Awards were presented to the winners of the poster and cloth bag design competition themed "Harms of Tobacco", which we organized within the scope of the TÜBİTAK project. We would like to thank all our students who participated in the competition.
Dr. Lecturer Gülhan Kalmuk, faculty member of the Department of Health Management, talked about "What Does a Multicultural Approach Require in the Present and Future?" at the Nursing Week Panel on May 9, 2024, organized by the Private Hospitals Association (OHSAD) within the framework of Nursing Week Activities. Our department organized a joint symposium on Access and Quality to Health Services with Altınbaş University, Sabahattin Zaim University and Demiroğlu Bilim University on June 11, 2024. At the symposium, our Health Management Doctorate Program student Dr. Simay Hızyılmaz made a presentation titled “Access and Quality to Family Medicine Services”.
Health Management Master's graduate, Specialist Kübra CANDEMİR GÜL, shared insights from her master's thesis with Health Management students, discussing current trends in health tourism.
The "Guest Services Management Certificate" program was carried out with the assistance of Asst. Prof. Dr. Gülhan Kalmuk to improve the quality and efficiency of health services. Our successful participants received their certificates after 76 hours of theoretical and practical instruction. We appreciate the collaborations of Liv Hospital Director Meri İstiroti and her team, as well as our Continuing Education Center Director Şule Kılıçaslan.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Özlem Özaydın participated in the "7th International Health Sciences and Management Congress" hosted by Üsküdar University on 16-19 June 2022. Özaydın presented his paper titled "Individuals Knowledge and Preference of Remote Health Service Delivery in Turkey."

Asst. Prof. Dr. Özlem Özaydın participated in the "2nd National-1st International Management in Nursing Congress" arranged online from 8-10 June 2022. Özaydın presented his paper titled "Reflections of the COVID-19 Pandemic in Graduate Thesis in the Field of Nursing in Turkey".
The "Hospital Management Certificate Program" began on May 28 under the supervision of our department head, Asst. Prof. Gülhan Kalmuk, and with the assistance of the Istinye University Continuing Education Center. This program aims to develop strategic management skills for managers in the health sector, which is one of the significant areas of investment in our country. We want to thank the managers of Medical Park and Liv Hospital and the esteemed academicians of Istinye University for their contributions to the program.
Our 4th grade students, who did internship at MLP Care and Public Health Institutions for 1 year within the scope of Professional Practice, stepped into the management of health institutions with successful case presentations. We would like to thank all managers who contributed in this process, especially MLP Care managers. We congratulate all our students and wish them good luck.
The elderly population is increasing rapidly. Therefore, the risk of Alzheimer's Disease is also rising. We arranged an event called "Does All Forgetfulness Mean Alzheimer's?" to raise public awareness about Alzheimer's Disease. We want to express our gratitude to Assoc. Every Sunday during Ramadan, students and academicians from the Department of Healthcare Management volunteer to help the Kartal Kızılay Branch's food parcel distribution. We want to express our gratitude to the Kartal Kızılay Branch, academicians, and students for providing us with the opportunity to do good, assist, and most significantly, touch the volunteers on such a memorable day.
We went to Gebze Informatics Valley today as the Department of Healthcare Management. We learned about Turkey's technological and manufacturing advancements.
