Our Department of Economics organized an event on Disaster Preparedness and Social Awareness with the participation of Prof. Dr. Oya Yazıcı Çakın

The event titled "Turkey and the World Economy in 2024" was held by EPAM with the participation of Yatırım Finansman Corporate Communications Director Dr. Barış Esen.

Our Economy Department visited Macellan Company, one of its external stakeholders. During the visit, upon the invitation of Macellan CEO Göktürk Yetim, a meeting was held on the projects that our department and Magellan will jointly develop.

We held our external stakeholder meeting with the participation of Şadi Kopuz, Provable Cosmetics Chemistry CEO Adnan Akat, Subaru marketing director Selin Şahiz, Magellan CEO Göktürk Yetim, our department professors and our graduate student Şevval Sekmen. At the meeting, what was done this year and projects that could be done together next year were planned.

The event titled "How Do We Enter 2024? Current Status of Budget and Foreign Trade", organized by the Department of Economics, was attended by Boğaziçi University Faculty Member Assoc. Dr. It was held with the participation of Melik Ertuğrul. Assoc. Dr. Melik Ertuğrul explained his predictions for 2024 by talking about the current situation of the budget and foreign trade.

Organized by the Department of Economics and Epam, the event was attended by Zeren Oray, Secretary General of the Turkish Clothing Manufacturers Association. Our Head of Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Gürsoy and our department lecturer Dr. İlayda İsabetli Fidan contributed to the chapters on "Economic Policies and Public Economic Enterprises in Atatürk's Era" and our department lecturer Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayfer Ustabaş contributed to the chapters on "An Overview of the Economic Importance of Women's Labor Force Participation in Turkey". Our department professors received certificates of appreciation from our Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim İbiş for the book published by Istinye University Publications.

At the event organized by the Department of Economics and Epam, Agricultural Economy in Turkey and the World was discussed. Boğaziçi University Department of Economics faculty member Gökhan Özertan attended the event as a speaker.

Our Department Head Assoc. Dr. Çiğdem Gürsoy presented her work titled "Mudarebe Examples from Ottoman Economy Financial Instruments (16th, 17th and 18th Centuries)" at the Turkish Economic Congress.

Üyesi Çağla Özer'in ortak çalışmaları olan "Sürdürülebilir Unsurların Gelişmesine Katkıda Bulunan Bir Yaratıcı Ekonomi Alanı: Gastroekonomi" adlı makale Journal of Tourism Intelligence and Smartness adlı dergide yayınlanmıştır.
