Head Of Department

Dear Future Professionals,

If you have watched the news, followed social media or red newspapers in the last few months, you must have observed that the current economic ecosystem is based on globalization and internationalization, and you must have noticed that concepts such as free trade, customs union, export and import, competitive pricing, economic associations, trade barriers, shipping, customs procedures, logistics, tariffs, and e-commerce are frequently mentioned.

Globalization is not an issue to consider when the time comes, it is already here. We live in an age where trade is more important and more interconnected than ever. In this age, a significant part of the gross domestic product arises from transactions that cross the borders of the country. Differences in production costs between countries, specialized industries, lack or excess of natural resources, different and altering consumer preferences, branding issues have led to production and purchase - sale activities outside the country. Since countries around the world compete and form partnerships with each other at the same time, it is curicial for them to make arrangements to improve trade relations and train professionals who can work in qualified and multicultural environments.

On behalf of Istinye University, we would like to raise you as future trade experts, international operators, entrepreneurs, creative and innovative business people.
