On November 3, 2019, the 5th Youth IGF Turkey (Turkey Youth Internet Governance Forum) was held at METU Informatics Institute. This year's theme was "Future Workforce and Digital Skills", and our Department Head Dr. Şebnem Özdemir participated with the AI For Social Good Club, which was founded by the students of our department. Participants from different cities of Turkey had the opportunity to listen to the speeches of experts in their fields, from media to engineering and social sciences. With the event, our Department Head gave a speech titled "(Future Professions) 21st Century Competencies and the Development of These Competencies" and emphasized the impact of artificial intelligence and data science on the inevitable change.
