İstinye University Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences Vice Dean and Head of the Political Science and Public Administration Department Dr. Efe Can Gürcan's article which titled “Political geography of Turkey's intervention in Syria: underlying causes and consequences (2011-2016)” was awarded the Highly Commended Paper at the 2020 Emerald Literati Awards.
The award board expressed the opinion that the article was among the most outstanding articles in the Emerald database in 2019.
