Associate Professor Dr. Hasan Gürkan, in the department of radio, television and cinema, contributed with a book chapter to the media and migration-themed volume on international migration where he discussed transnational films and the representation of immigrants in these films. In his work, Gürkan examines the European directors' view of immigration and immigrants through fictional narratives and he highlights the difference between the films directed by the European directors and the immigrant directors.
