İbrahim Mustafa Turhan,  Prof.

Prof. Dr. Ibrahim M. Turhan is a professor of macroeconomics in İstinye University, in Istanbul. Starting his career as an academician, Mr. Turhan then held positons as member of the Monetary Policy Committee and Deputy Governor at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey between 2004 and 2012. He also served as a member of the Advisory Board of the Contemporary Turkish Studies Chair at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) European Institute until the end of 2011. Mr. Turhan was appointed as CEO of Borsa İstanbul and elected as Chairperson of ‘Istanbul Clearing, Settlement and Custody Bank’ in 2012. Dr. Turhan was nominated by the Government of Kazakhstan as independent board member to Single Accumulative Pension Fund JSC (GNPF) in 2014. He was elected as a member of the Parliament in 2015 where he has served as deputy chairperson of Committee for Budget and Planning until 2018.
